17 Tripura families are living in fear of eviction in Ruilui Para village nearby Sajek tourist spot in Rangamati district. In this areas, villagers can not repair or build any houses due to Army secret restriction.
"Few days ago, I wanted to repair my house. But the Army came and stopped me," said one villager, who don`t allow to mention his name due to security reasons. Even some other villagers, who wanted to repair and construction their home, the army obstructed them.

Bhushan Tripura (9 members of his family), 10.World Tripura, Teacher (4 members
of his family), 11.Moni Tripura (5 members of her family), 12.Purna Ranjan
Tripura (6 members of his family), 13.Wakicha Tripura (11 members of his
family), 14.Kanti Moy Tripura (4 members of his family), 15.Ravi Kumar Tripura
(5 members of his family), 16.Hridoy Tripura (5 members of his family) and
17.Huffing Tripura (5 members of his family).
According to a reliable source, Baghaichari Upazila
Chairman Sudarson Chakma and Khagrapur resident an NGO worker and Shapla
Tripura, general secretary of Khagrapur women's
association, along with six others bought the homestead land of the 17
villagers from the area Headman. The area headman has illegally sold their land
to Sudarson Chakma.
According to the locals,``The land may be use construction
of tourist resort like a Five Star Hotel at Naitong Hill in
Bandarban by evicting the 17 families.``
However, the way of the army has been directly
involved in the eviction of Mro by leasing land in Chimbuk and has caused
controversy in the country and abroad, they are not going same way in Sajek.
A villager, who are in fear of eviction said, "I
don’t know what to do now. We have no one due to poor and helpless."
