The location of the land is called Namayang (Jalayapara) in Burighat Union.
On January 20, 2021, when a group of army personnel led by Two-IC of Naniachar Zone went to set up army camp on the 7 acres land of Jyotilal Chakma.
Jyotilal Chakma said, "If you set the camp on this land, where I will cultivate? I have no other land except this land. If we can't cultivate, what will we eat? "
Despite his unwilling to give land, he was forced to give up the land. He had no choice. A paper was signed from him. After signed, he was handed an envelope packet (Rs. 7,000 written on packet for the lease of 7 acres land. )
At this time, the camp construction work is going on the land. An army team about 30-35 men is stationed there and setting up camp.Jyoti Lal Chakma has a garden of various forest trees including teak trees in that place. There is a broom garden which is now considered as a cash crop.
