Correspondent,Rangamati || Kalachan Chakma alias Biman (35), son of Buddha Mangal Chakma, was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Pagujyachhari area of Rupkari union in Baghaichhari upazila of Rangamati.

The incident took place on Saturday (December 5, 2020) at around 1.30 pm.
According to local sources, the deceased was an armed cadre of JSS reformist group and bodyguard of Nanyachar Upazila Chairman Pragati chakma. He came home last day and while he was sleeping in own house, some miscreants came and shot him dead and fled.
Ashraf Uddin, Officer-in-charge of Baghaichari Police Station confirmed the incident and said the body was recovered from the spot and sent to Khagrachhari Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
