A hillman named Majhi Chakma (32) has been found physically abused by the army at Barabopara of Babuchara Union in Dighinala Upazila of Khagrachhari Hill District.

The incident took place on Saturday (December 12, 2020) morning.

According to local sources,yesterday an army patroling team from Dighinala army zone raided Barabopara in the name of searching for the terrorists at 10 am.

At that time, Majhi Chakma was working in his garden. The soldiers called him from there and tortured him without any reason.

After receiving the news, the local people rescued him from the custody of the army.

Locals have expressed outrage over the torture of innocent people by the army.They called upon the concerned administration to stop such injustices.
